Ukraine

Chris

In recent history, those defending against foreign aggression have always prevailed at the end, regardless of the military might and temporary success of the invaders.

While in civil and proxy wars there may be valid moral arguments attracting international allies on both sides, the moral superiority of defending one’s own country is indisputable. It is inspiring to see Ukrainians and Zelensky resist but even if Kiev falls, the losers will ultimately be Putin and Russia, whose international status derived from the moral and military success in the Great Patriotic War against Germany will have been damaged forever.

Some thought that Putin, despite all his flaws, was a good tactician. Let's hope he is not the madman others think him to be.
